The General Merchandise, currently the biggest category in Lazada Philippines, makes up more than one third of the platform’s business. It is made up of six commercial sub-categories: Home & Living, Motors, Sports & Outdoor, Media Music & Books, Toys & Games, and Digital Goods.

In recent years, the category has disrupted the market by enabling many firsts in Philippine ecommerce which includes car sales reservation, and the online donation platform LazadaForGood.

The category has also pioneered partnerships with major business groups such as ToyCon PH, Hotel & Suppliers Show, Book Development Association of the Philippines that enabled the replication of traditional trade fairs in an online platform.
