Fashion has been Lazada Philippines’ (and Lazada Group’s) fastest growing category pre-pandemic, growing triple digit numbers for three years in a row.

A focus on grooming and on-boarding brands and sellers with the intent of providing what customers wanted on the platform has led to this massive growth. However, due to the restrictions under the new normal, people’s lives have been altered in a lot of ways, including how they shop for their Fashion items.

From having Women’s Shoes and Dresses dominating the best-sellers, the demand has shifted to items that fit our lifestyle today.

We recognized early on what this shift entailed and so the category today is striving to expedite our pivot to loungewear, lingerie and other everyday items that people find the need for.

This does not mean though that we are stopping everything else, as we see the economy slowly opening up we have already lined up plans to win the post-lockdown era and re-develop the categories that have been gravely affected by the pandemic.

With these, we are confident that Fashion will again be ready to drive Lazada’s growth.
